SELLERS TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions communicate your rights and obligations.
Please read these carefully. You may have other rights granted by law and our Terms and Conditions do not affect these.
1. Definition & Notification of Changes
i. By using the TheCountrysideStore.co.uk website platform (“The Countryside Store”) and all sub-domains, which are a service of The Countryside Store, you are therefore agreeing to be bound by the below terms and conditions.
ii. The Countryside Store is based in Yorkshire, England in the United Kingdom.
iii. The Countryside Store Limited trades and is a registered company within the UK the with our company number: 12632759.

v. We reserve the right to change these “Terms & Conditions” at any time and it is your responsibility to read the “Terms & Conditions” on each occasion you use this website and your continued use of TheCountrysideStore.co.uk, or any sub-domains shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest “Terms & Conditions”.
vi. All of the below Terms and Conditions are governed and construed by English law. English law will apply in all cases. This means that the contract you hold with us will be governed by English law.
2. General
i. The Countryside Store does not handle or hold any products for the sellers and only acts as a platform for sellers to sell their products online within their own space (shop). All products are held with the individual seller.
ii. The Countryside Store is an online marketplace and all sales go through a secure online payment system.
iii. The Countryside Store does not handle any products that are sold through the platform.
iv. All sellers/advertisers must be 18 years or older to enter a legally binding contract to sell or advertise their products/services on The Countryside Store platform.
v. By entering a legally binding contract you are agreeing to pay the fees layout under the Fees section of our ‘Terms and Conditions’.
vi. Each seller/advertiser on the site will have their profile to showcase their own products/services.
vii. As registering as a business on The Countryside Store you therefore personally have the authority of the business to agree to all the terms and conditions laid out.
viii. All products that are listed on your shop profile must comply with the below Sales of Goods policy that outlines what items cannot be sold on The Countryside Store, failure to comply with this could lead to your account being closed permanently.
ix. All products that are listed on The Countryside Store are the responsibility of the individual seller and they are accountable to make sure that each item complies with all local and international laws.
x. The Countryside Store does not hold any legal reasonability for any item listed on The Countryside Store and by agreeing to these terms you as a seller hold full legal responsibility to ensure each product meets all legal requirements.
xi. All sellers on The Countryside Store must hold the trademark and/or copyright permission for all the products that they sell and must hold trademark and/or copyright to the name of their shop/store and any logos used to promote their shop/store.
xii. The Countryside Store does not hold any legal responsibility for any seller found to be selling or distributing products that contain or feature another party trademark or copyright, all legal responsibility falls solely to the seller in question.
xiii. If a seller is found to be using or breaching another party’s trademark or copyright, they as an individual take full legal responsibility of this and will result in their account be closed without any notice.
xiv. Each business or person advertising on the UK Holiday Finder & the UK Business Directory will have an individual profile that holds the business/individuals name, contact details and information about the business/individual. It is always the legal responsibility of the business/individual to keep all their details up to date.
xv. By subscribing to The Countryside Store you are therefore agreeing to pay the correct subscription structure you have chosen.
xvi. If in the event of account closure, the subscription fees that have been paid are non-refundable as each payment is paid in advance.
xvii. All products that you list within The Countryside Store platform must comply with our Sales of Goods policy. If you are found to not comply with the policy it could lead to your account being closed without any notice given.
xviii. Where you are advertising on the UK Holiday Finder & the UK Business Directory The Countryside Store is not legally responsible for any interaction between you and a potential customer or any communication thereafter. The Countryside Store is acting solely as an advertising platform.
xix. If there is a failure to pay the subscription within the allotted time frame set out in the Fees section, your account will be closed 30 days after the date of the original payment date.
xx. The Countryside Store does not guarantee sales and encourages all users to promote their own individual shop through various social media platforms.
xxi. The Countryside Store has the right to use your products/shop for promotional purposes and the images within your shop.
xxii. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any of your legal rights. Advice about the legal rights you as an individual has is available from your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards.
xxiii. When selling your produce through The Countryside Store – Food and Beverage Marketplace each item must be labelled with all the correct ingredients your product holds. Please clearly state on your listing for the item what ingredients are in the product.
xxiv. Every seller on the Food and Beverage Marketplace must hold the correct and update food hygiene certificates – The Countryside Store can ask for a copy at any given time.
xxv. It is the responsibility of the individual seller/business to complete each sale and claim the funds generated by the sale from their Countryside Store seller portal. If a shop is terminated or cancelled by the individual seller/business, they hold the right to claim any processing funds held within their sellers account within 7 days of their shops cancellation date, funds cannot be claimed after the 7 day claiming period.
xxvi. After 7 days of your cancellation date all shop history, products, orders and information will be removed from The Countryside Store, this information cannot be retrieved.
3. Behaviour
i. When using The Countryside Store, you must not breach any laws, sell any counterfeit items, or otherwise infringe copyright, trademark, or any rights of third parties.
ii. You as a manufacturer are solely responsible for the maintenance of your own profile and products which you are selling.
iii. The Countryside Store users are solely responsible for keeping their contact details up to date on their own profile.
iv. You need to make sure that you do not share or give anyone else your password to use to enter The Countryside Store, you are solely liable to keeping the password secure.
v. When using The Countryside Store, you must not use the platform for an illegal or unauthorised purpose and that you have agreed to comply with all local laws regarding any online conduct you do.
vi. You as an individual are solely responsible for your behaviour and conduct when using The Countryside Store platform. Any content, data, images, audio, video clips, links and text are solely the responsibility of the individual uploading them on TheCountrysideStore.co.uk and any sub-domains and must not breach any local or international laws.
vii. You must not use any threatening, intimidating, harassing or any other form of abuse to any other user of The Countryside Store.
viii. Whilst using The Countryside Store platform you must not produce any unwanted communications to another member of The Countryside Store.
ix. Whilst using or visiting TheCountrysideStore.co.uk or all sub-domains you must not look to or transmit any viruses, worms or any codes that can alter the behaviour of The Countryside Store platform or that can be destructive in any way.
x. You must not look to modify or adapt or hack TheCountrysideStore.co.uk and all sub-domains or look to create another website that implies to users of The Countryside Store that it is associated with TheCountrysideStore.co.uk or any sub-domains.
4. Liability
i. The Countryside Store does not hold any liability for the following damages or losses:
- Loss of any reputation to you and/or your business, which could then lead to loss of business to you personally.
- Loss of revenue and any future profits to you and/or your business.
- Loss of data.
- A loss that has been suffered by a third party.
- Loss of any opportunity.
- Injury, accidents, or death caused by products sold on The Countryside Store platform.
5. Sale of Goods
i. All items listed below must NOT be sold or distributed through The Countryside Store platform:
- Any item that is counterfeit.
- All prescription drugs.
- Any content or material that is infringing or otherwise violates rights of publicity, privacy, or proprietary rights that you do not own or have permission to use.
- All illegal drugs and/or drug paraphernalia and any substances that are designed to replicate illegal drugs.
- Explosives, hazardous materials, fireworks, and destructive devices.
- Stolen property.
- Identity documents, government documents, personal financial records, or personal information (in any form, including mailing lists).
- Obscene material.
- Any form of pornography child and/or adult.
- Any item that is related to the body including body parts and antibodies.
- Pets and/or animals.
- Items that have been recalled.
- Products and services that violate any local law and/or international law.
- Any software and/or coding.
- Any chemicals and/or similar products
- Private sale of firearms and shotguns.
- Hate speech; including, but not limited to, speech that is harmful to others, or that is or promotes transphobia, homophobia, sexism, xenophobia, fascism, racism, and/or white nationalism.
- Products or content promoting prohibited medical claims, such as anti-vaccine items.
- Any product or service that violates the rights of others or is marketed or sold in such a way as to create liability for The Countryside Store.
ii. Any persons found to be selling or distributing such items will be admittedly removed from the platform and have their subscription cancelled without any notice.
6. Sales & Returns Policy
i. You the Seller are responsible for dispatching the order to the customer and you agree to ensure that you deliver the products you have listed within your shop’s policies within the time frame provided.
ii. If you the seller are using a delivery or fulfilment service, you are still ultimately responsible for making sure that the customer receives their order within the specified time frame and packaged correctly to reduce any risk of damage to the item whilst in transit.
iii. You must specify the price of the products sold and whether there are additional charges for delivery.
iv. All items must be delivered to the address listed on the goods receipt provided by The Countryside Store. In the unlikely event that the order does not arrive, the seller will need to provide valid proof of postage. Valid proof of postage must show that the item was posted and that it was sent to the address provided on the goods receipt from The Countryside Store.
v. In the event that the goods ordered are unavailable then the customer must be notified by email.
vi. All communication for returns and refunds go directly through the seller.
vii. We request that all customers retain the original receipt (proof of purchase).
viii. The customer must notify the seller, within 14 days, if the goods delivered are not what they ordered or are of incorrect quantity or if they are damaged or faulty or have missing items
ix. The Countryside Store is not liable for any returns but may work as a mediator between the customer and the seller if an amicable agreement cannot be reached between the two parties.
x. Proof of communication between the seller and customer must be provided before a case can be set up. Refunds will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
xi. In the event of The Countryside Store acting as a mediator, all requests must be sent by email to – sales@thecountrysidestore.co.uk. E-mails must state the issue with the product and proof of purchase. Where possible, The Countryside Store will work together with the customer and seller to resolve any product issues and come up with an appropriate resolution.
xii. The Countryside Store does not handle any shipping, returns or refunds nor will we be held accountable for a seller’s failure to provide the products they have listed. If the seller fails to provide the goods within the allotted time frame their shop will be disabled from sales.
7. Products & Regulation
All our manufacturers that sell through The Countryside Store must comply and read up on the below UK product legislations: (all links are provided for the correct and up to date information).

You as a manufacturer are solely responsible for making sure that all your products comply with all up to date legislation.

8. Fees
i. All subscriptions fee our listed on TheCountrysideStore.co.uk.
ii. By agreeing to the terms set out, The Countryside Store will, therefore, set up a continuous card payment for the subscription period you have stated on either a monthly, 6 monthlies or yearly basis.
iii. All subscription fees are to be pre-paid prior to your shop/advert going live.
iv. All subscription payments are run through our secure payment method (PayPal).
v. In the event of your account being closed by either yourself or The Countryside Store, all subscription fees are non-refundable for the period you initially chose (monthly, 6 monthlies or yearly), as each payment is made in advance.
vi. If for whatever you fail to make payment within the 14 days of your subscription renewal date, your account will be closed automatically without notice being severed 30 days after the date of the original payment date.
vii. We have the right to change our subscription fees at any time and for any reason and will notify users within a reasonable time frame.
viii. If for any reason there is an error and overpayment is made from The Countryside Store to the seller for a sale. The Countryside Store holds the right to request the payment is made back within a 14-day period from the overpayment date.
9. Changes to Service
i. The Countryside Store holds the right to change or terminate the service without giving any notice. This could be for one of the below reasons:
- You have breached any of the Terms and Conditions laid out.
- We have reasonable information that you are not complying with the Terms and Conditions laid out.
- If we have received a serious accurate complaint from another user on The Countryside Store platform.
- If any law enforcement or compliance authority instructs us to remove your shop and/or advert.
- We have the right to terminate your shop you if are found to be taking payment directly from a Countryside Store customer without using our payment platforms
ii. The Countryside Store holds the right to modify or change the legal terms set out at any given time. The Countryside Store will notify the registered users of the platform via email to any changes that are made.
iii. The Countryside Store holds the right to refuse any seller/advertiser onto the platform and will cancel any account that breaches any legal terms.
10. Images and Video content
i. As a seller on The Countryside Store, you are fully accountable for any photographs and videos that you upload onto The Countryside Store platform as part of your shop/advert.
ii. The Countryside Store does not hold any accountability for the quality of the photographs or videos that you upload.
iii. We reserve the right to remove photographs or videos if they do not meet The Countryside Store’s ethical standards or quality.
iv. Any photograph and video that is upload onto your shop/advert on The Countryside Store must comply with the below:
- Show the correct and update image of your product/service;
- Be an accurate description of the product/service you are displaying;
- Not to contain any spam;
- Not to contain any text/information that does not relate to the product/service;
- Your wording within your description must not be in any other language than English.
- It must comply with all legislation and regulations that are relevant to your product/service;
- Not stolen from other individual or breaches any copyright laws;
- Not to be irrelevant or off-topic to the product/service;
- Not to upload anything onto The Countryside Store that may be corrupt or contain a virus;
- Not to be discriminating or promote any kind of discrimination;
- Not to have pornographic or violent content;
- Not to contain any personal data or information of another person that has not given permission prior to publishing;
- Not contain any inappropriate contents, strong profanity or be obscene in anyway for example: offensive, inflammatory, threatening, hateful, abusive, racist, anti-religious or sexually graphic;
v. If any photograph and/or video published on The Countryside Store platform does not meet all the requirements laid out above. The Countryside Store reserves the right to remove the photograph and/or video and will lead to action being taken against your profile.
11. Maintenance
i. There might be occasions where The Countryside Store needs to carry out maintenance to our equipment and systems we use. We will always make sure that we do the maintenance with minimum disruption caused to any shop/advert.
ii. If any faults are to be found on The Countryside Store platform we will endeavour to investigate and rectify the issue within 72 hours of the first report.
iii. The Countryside Store will not be held liable for any delay in performance and or failure of performance due to an event that is outside of our reasonable control. This will include fire, flood, an act by God, storm, explosion, global or local pandemic, the threat of a terrorist attack and/or a terrorist attack, a global or local strike and/or power failure.
12. Security and Data privacy
i. By creating your own shop or business advert you are for requesting that your products/services appear on The Countryside Store. You therefore are giving your consent for your products/services to be potentially viewed by all persons with internet access throughout the world and for your data to be viewed in this way.
ii. When you register to become a seller or advertise your business on The Countryside Store, you will be given a username and password which you are responsible for keeping secure. The Countryside Store will not be liable to you if you fail to keep your username and password safe. We will not be liable for any loss you may personally suffer by a third party accessing your account unless it is proven to be caused by our own negligence.
iii. When registering with The Countryside Store to either become a seller or advert your business you are therefore agreeing for us to collect certain personal data from you (for example name, address, email address and contact details).
iv. All personal information that is collected is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and may have to be used for a number of different purposes (all of which are outlined in our Privacy Policy).
v. When registering with The Countryside Store you are agreeing to be accurate, truthful and complete about all the information you have supplied. You are also agreeing that you will not register in another name or use a username that will cause offense.
vi. All of the information you have provided in the registration process will be stored and protected in accordance with the terms set out in our Privacy Policy.
